Rydeen gPad is powered by Marvell

Rydeen has just introduced the gPad, a 7″ Tablet/Slate that is powered by Android (not sure which version) and a Marvell application processor running at 800Mhz. Its 7-inch display has a 800×480 pixel resolution, which should make it comfy enough to browse web sites. It supports Flash Lite 4  (a limited version of Flash), so we’ll assume that it doesn’t run Android 2.2 which is compatible with the latest full version of Flash. The gPad has been built to serve as a personal navigation device as well, and you can see it clipped on its cradle in the above photo (is there a navigation app included?). Rydeen claims a battery life of 6 hours with heavy usage, and 8 hours in “normal” mode, although the definition of both modes is a little fuzzy. We’ve added the specifications in the full post.
