Train Passenger by Peter Davis It’s hard to believe this isn’t a studio shot, but it was snapped by Peter on his daily commute in Sydney, Australia. The ethereal effects that accompany the rad crop to define this fab shot come via Mill Colour , Photoshop and TiltShiftGen apps. 2. Saskia Schmitz by Hans de Kort Hans de Kort considers the iPhone “the Polaroid of today.” This vibrant pic’s cool effects were helped along by iFlashReady and CameraKit , although the great framing and capture are, of course, de Kort’s own. 3. “Seduction Doesn’t Have Time for Words…” by Sion Fullana Sion, arguably one of NYC’s premier iPhone photogs, manages to make an iPhone pic look like a frame from a classic black and white movie, offering two incredibly seductive portraits in one. 4. Bryan and Ola by Jim Darling There’s no question that Bryan and Ola are great subjects, but positioning them just so against a fabulous background and then editing to get the colors to look so fantastic takes this shot and propels it into the realms of great portraiture — across any camera platform. 5. Mr. Melancholy by Anton Kawasaki A Starbucks in NYC was the setting for Anton’s timeless portrait of a stranger frozen in a moment of what looks like contemplative stillness. CameraBag adds the special effects. 6. @navior by Shachar Srebrenik A slightly unusual perspective, complimentary colors, a fab retro effect and an attractive subject result in a stand-out portrait for Tel Aviv-based Shachar. 7. Waiting for the Lift by Benedicte Guillon With a dose of Cartier-Bresson decisiveness, Parisian iPhone photographer Benedicte captures a great moment – and an even greater haughty look – from a street subject. 8. Goggles! by Jennifer Ford Brilliant framing, perfect timing from Jennifer, and the gorgeous tones of the image help elevate this image from fun snap to awesome portrait with the child’s sheer joy just spilling off the screen. 9. Welcome to Boracay by Alex Chu This photo begs the question of whether a portrait has to include the face to capture the spirit of someone. A great shot from Hong Kong-based Alex helped along with some iPhone app-ery. 10. Portrait by Stephanie Chappe The juxtaposition of the dark figure in the foreground and the bright, Photoshopped perfection of the happy face in the advert in the background clash brilliantly in what’s a stark and striking side-on portrait. .
